HELP!!! Can you PLEASE tell me WHERE I can find a list of the songs and performers used in the recorded music portion of the fireworks display 2011....especially...WHO SANG "The Star Spangled Banner" in the finale??? (Recorded music)
Where does one find out this information?
Thank you!
Janet
Susan's reply: I just looked at the program - you can access it by going to www.july4th.org - scroll almost all the way down the page, and you'll see a link to click to the 2011 program. Page 6 lists the music, but unless I'm missing it, the recorded music isn't included. I also loved it. I'll ask my daughters tomorrow - we just got home a little while ago, and they're already in bed. I'm fairly sure that I heard them mention the names of 1 or 2 of the singers. I'll add a note to this message tomorrow if they know anything useful (July 5th - PLEASE SEE MY UPDATE BELOW!) - and if anyone else recognized the singers, please add a Comment to let us all know.
The whole show this year was AMAZING - and what perfect weather! I've just become a fan of Martina McBride - she was terrific!
Happy 4th!

Boston Fireworks information
JULY 5TH UPDATE
I have the list of recordings! All my daughters could say this morning was, "Oh Mom, how could you forget KATY PERRY???!!!" But fortunately, Boston4Productions, the talented local group that's the creative force behind staging the whole event, has the list posted on their website.
I'm not sure how long they'll keep the list up - so here's the complete list of the recorded music played during the fireworks display:
Santorini (Live) - -Yanni
Yankee Doodle - Cincinnati Pops
Firework - Katy Perry
Orange Colored Sky - Natalie Cole
Fireflies - Owl City
The American President - Marc Shaiman
It's All About Tonight - Blake Shelton
Dynamite - Taio Cruz
Rock 'n' Roll Music - The Beatles
There's a Place For Us - Carrie Underwood
The Star Spangled Banner - Sandi Patty
It truly was a magnificent line-up, and a magical evening. I'm already looking forward to 2012 - but there's no way they'll top 2011!
Susan
