This enchanting evening of tree myths from around the world was designed specifically for the Arnold Arboretum. It starts at the Arnold Arboretum?s Hunnewell Visitor?s Building, 125 the Arborway and continues along tree-lined paths with story and music accompanying the way. As twilight descends the audience visits cherry, evergreen, ash and birch groves ~ celebrating nature with tree legends, songs and music from many lands. Pieces and music are drawn from the rich cultural traditions of Japan, Wales, England, Australia, Russia and Native America.

The evening culminates with the haunting Czech legend "The Wild Woman of the Birch Grove" told among the birches of Bussey Hill at sunset.

Appropriate for adults and for children eleven years and above. Bring a cushion to sit on if you wish. The journey will be approximately two miles on and off trails.

The performance takes place rain or shine. In the event of rain, it will be held indoors and additional Solstice legends will be added.

If you're looking for a great excuse to visit Newport, RI this summer, Art Newport enlivens the already-lively waterfront with a floating art festival from July 1 to September 5, 11am - 7pm.

SeaFair will present Art Newport throughout the summer in this picturesque city, docked at Newport's Perry Mill Wharf. Each fair will feature 28 international galleries presenting an array of contemporary art including paintings, sculpture, photography, jewelry and fine art glass.

Each fair week will commence with an exciting opening night preview party followed by daily fine art events, gourmet dining and music on the sky deck.

SeaFair is the world's first mobile megayacht venue. Groundbreaking in scale, ingenuity and style, the yacht - which remains dockside during each event - pairs international fine art, jewelry and collectables with harbor view dining and special events in cities along the eastern seaboard.

The 228’ yacht features 4 decks, 28 custom designed galleries, gourmet dining, a champagne and caviar lounge as well as an open-air sky deck bar and bistro.
