Ice skating at Fenway

[Skating on the Ice Rink at Fenway Park]

I skated at Fenway on Wednesday evening, January 6th . . . It was a thrill of a lifetime. I was invited by a friend of mine. Her company sells Hockey equipment and the company handed out some tickets.

I grew up skating on my family pond. On Wednesday, we felt like those kids again.

What was so special for me was the skates that touched the ice at Fenway were the ones I used on the family pond. The skates had been bought several sizes too big . . . but the theory was several layers of socks would help and that you could wear them for many years. Well, at 55 years old . . . they finally fit!
