I would like to visit Boston 5-6 days next May/June 2011 and would like to pick up a cruise to visit Bermuda for a 7 day visit there. Is this possible?
I am a U.K. resident and would probably be flying out from London Heathrow airport.
Many thanks,
Janet Dineen
Susan's reply: Hi Janet - Yes, that's definitely possible, and it sounds like a wonderful plan.
Norwegian Cruise Line cruises on the Norwegian Dawn depart from Boston's CruisePort to Bermuda every week from late May through mid-October. You can find more about the Bermuda cruises from Boston here. This page also has a link to CruiseCompete.com (in the "How to find best deals" section), which you can use to find all the cruises to Bermuda from Boston - just search for "United States: Massachusetts" as the starting point.
Boston's Black Falcon Cruise Terminal is located in the South Boston Waterfront neighborhood - great area, and just a short walk from the historic areas of downtown plus other parts of the city.
There are 3 very nice hotels in this neighborhood.
However, since you'll be here for 5-6 days, you might want to also consider one of Boston's other neighborhoods for your hotel. An especially lovely area during May and June is Back Bay, where blooming magnolia trees as well as early summer flowers put on a dazzling show.
