Dog Days of Summer - Benefit for MSPCA
Happy Dog!
With the new farm season upon us and lazy summer days ahead, Smolak Farms and Treadwell’s Ice Cream invites you and your beloved four-legged friend for a day of fun at the farm, located in North Andover, north of Boston. On Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 10:00am to 4:00pm, Smolak Farms is teaming up with the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) to celebrate your best friend with a variety of activities including: walking trails, hayrides, bounce & slide rides, duck races with rubber “doggies”, gourmet dog treats, a pet parade (costumes optional of course), “Doggie Dishes” from Treadwell's Ice Cream and much, much more!
In addition to the MSPCA, this year’s participants include: Bulger’s Animal Hospital, Wiggles & Jiggles Pet Care, Good Dog Aquatic Fitness, GroomTown Pet Boutique & Spa, Pet Shop, Ciao! Bow Wow, Bag-A-Bones, Gracie’s Mission, Bark N’Roll, Blue Dog Pet Care, K9 Forever Friends Make No Bones. Participants will be providing pet massages, nail trimmings, training tips, nutritional & educational information, as well as pet products, merchandise, art work and much more! Some activities will be free and others will require a donation.
Rabies and micro chipping clinics will be conducted by Dr. Tracey Fountas & Dr. George Fountas of the River Road Veterinary Hospital of Andover.
*Please note that dogs must be leashed at all times and owners are responsible for dog waste (bags will be available). There will be a suggested $2.00 donation for parking. All proceeds will benefit the Methuen MSPCA at Nevins Farm.

North Andover is in a lovely area about 25 miles north of Boston. If you make the drive north for this event, detour a bit to the east and visit the Wenham Museum, a wonderful small museum in an equally picturesque area - all together, a perfect day trip from Boston!
