Cover to Uncover at The Beehive

On Tuesday, July 20th, 2010 from 8:00PM to 12:00AM, The Beehive in Boston’s South End will take it all off with the stars of New York’s award-winning Pinchbottom Burlesque show as they unveil their new book, "The Burlesque Handbook" by Jo "Boobs" Weldon.
After stops in Washington DC, New York City, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, the celebration will finally hit Boston when Pinchbottom Burlesque brings a brand-new show to Boston's premiere live entertainment venue.
Hosted by Pinchbottom's Jonny Porkpie, starring Clams Casino, Gal Friday, and the author and headmistress herself, Jo "Boobs," The Beehive’s “Cover to Uncover” book release party burlesque show will offer a special sneak peek inside the pages of the one and only backstage guide to burlesque, as the headmistress and teachers of the New York School of Burlesque peel back the cover of the Handbook and expose the lurid secrets of bump & grind.
This isn’t your normal book release. The pages will come to life when the techniques featured in the handbook shake their way off the page and onto the stage, as the all-star cast presents live burlesque acts showcasing the guide's sultry skills. The Beehive’s book release burlesque show will, in itself, be a night for the books!
