Best Hotel Rates in Downtown Boston:
When and Where to Find Them

When making your Boston hotel reservations, keep in mind that although business travelers flock to Downtown's conveniently-located accommodations during the week, leisure visitors may find some unexpected hotel bargains here on the weekend.

Downtown Boston hotel rates can also vary dramatically by season.

Waterfront hotels are usually much pricier during summer months, although special events such as the Boston Wine Festival at the Boston Harbor Hotel can drive prices higher any time of the year.

During winter, you may find some of Boston's best hotels effectively on sale.

Regardless of which part of downtown you choose, other areas (along with the rest of central Boston) are just a short walk away.

Theatre District / Chinatown / Park Square hotels

Boston Theatre District hotels offer convenience, plus an excellent choice of price ranges.  At the top end are the 5-star Ritz and Four Seasons.  The Milner is usually the most affordable, and the other hotels are in between.

Although the Theatre District has always been a popular destination, all of the renovation and newly re-opened theaters during the past few years have transformed it into a spectacular neighborhood, punctuated by the recent opening of the dazzling W Hotel Boston.   The adjacent Park Plaza area between the Public Garden and Bay Village is also convenient to the theaters.

In addition to the theaters, the Theatre District / Chinatown / Park Square area offers wonderful restaurants, comedy clubs, and nightlife.  You can also easily walk to Boston Hill, Back Bay, and the Freedom Trail, as well as explore the quiet streets of Bay Village.
